BC Water Giveaway
For years, local watershed groups and community organizations like ours have been doing the hard work to protect and improve the health of the Nechako Watershed for future generations, often with limited and uncertain funding. That’s stable, long-term funding for the kind of work we all do:
Lakes monitoring, data collection and research
Climate change adaptation and resilience planning
Community education and youth engagement
By modernizing industrial water rates to match other provinces, BC could generate over $100 million each year and dedicate that to watershed restoration, local jobs, and community water security
