Dr. Eduardo Martins is an Associate Professor in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at UNBC, where he leads the Freshwater Fish Ecology Laboratory. He currently holds the Rio Tinto Research Chair in Climate Change and Freshwater Fish Ecology. Dr. Martins’ research lies at the interface of organismal and population ecology of temperate and tropical freshwater fishes. He is particularly focused on the thermal and movement ecology of freshwater fishes and the dynamics of their populations. His research methods include biotelemetry, biologging, thermal preference and tolerance experiments, and advanced statistical and mathematical models.
